What is this event and why should I attend?

Batteries can enable more renewable energy to be used, resilience in times of grid disruption in and avoidance of using the grid when peak charging is occurring. The Battery Storage Event is designed to give businesses of all sizes a deeper understanding of the best methods of generating income from battery ownership, pitfalls to avoid and revenue and finance models .

Increasing amounts of intermittent power and embedded generation, makes it much harder to balance the power system. That has led National Grid to value and pay for energy flexibility at times of system stress leading to an increased requirement for demand-side response. Along with broader changes to the energy market, such as more widespread time of use tariffs, there is significant opportunity for businesses that either already have or are willing  to invest in battery technology to avoid costs and generate revenue. The Battery Storage Event will outline those opportunities, while some existing revenue streams have crashed, there are new schemes and other avenues that can be exploited.

The event will also see the launch of the 2018 Battery Storage Report that will explore the latest developments; technologically, politically, and regulatory, how to monetise the asset, smoothing planning and installation and making the case that this isn’t a technology for the future but a serious proposition here and now

Please note that the 2017 briefing was booked out, so we strongly encourage you to register now to avoid disappointment and get your seat for the Battery Storage Event 2018.
